Top Notch All The Way!!
"New ownership is outstanding!! Linda greeted us warmly after our journey down from Picton on the train. She is management, reception, hostess, concierge, and friend all wrapped into one. All her recommendations were perfect for us: a nice lunch spot, a drive up the coast, and a very good dinner restaurant, with here she booked a table for us. She also loaned us an adapter and gave us ice from her own freezer.
The accommodations were excellent. We booked the 2 bedroom suite, because we wanted spaciousness after a week in city hotels. We had a galley kitchen, dining area with table, and a large seating area, in addition to the 2 bedrooms and bath. Everything was sparkling clean and in excellent condition. There is a laundry on site. We washed a load for only $3.
I normally reserve 5 stars for luxury hotels like London’s Savoy, but this place deserved an exception. I feel lt that it was clearly outstanding in the small boutique hotel in a sparsely populated area. The stay here definitely enhanced our enjoyment of Greymouth."

"Had a warm welcome at reception from Linda, who not only made a recommendation for dinner but booked a table for me. The hotel is older, but spotlessly clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast offered is great value. Better than some 5 star hotels that I've stayed in."
